WHAT'S ON

FREE Science fun at Phoenix Live!

10am – 3:30pm, Wednesday 19th February 2020

It’s full STEAM ahead this half term as Phoenix Live Bar & Bistro hosts a fabulous day of FREE interactive, exciting drop-in activities for children of all ages on Wednesday 19th February 2020.

With themes of the workshops run in the STEAM drop-in sessions spanning Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics, this half term’s activities will be focussed on the scientific.

From 10am – 3:30pm, children will be able to answer questions like: ‘How does your heart pump blood around your body?’ as well as discovering how washing your hands helps to keep infections at bay.

They’ll be able to make a rocket mouse and launch it into the air and answer the question: ‘What force do you need to make it soar!?’

They’ll take a look at our feathered friends and learn the science behind them staying dry in the rain and create an animal and use friction to see it climb up a string!

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and you can enjoy a free tea or coffee while your little one enjoys the fun. A baby and toddler play area will also keep tots entertained while their elder friends enjoy the workshops.

Find the Phoenix Live Bar & Bistro on The Terrace, next to Cineworld.
