Xtra DAB Launches at The Harvey Centre in Harlow

A brand new era of radio choice is coming to East Hertfordshire and West Essex as Xtra DAB officially launches at The Harvey Centre, Harlow, on Saturday 14th February from midday. The free public event marks the debut of the region’s newest digital radio network, bringing a wide range of stations, fresh voices, and exciting music to local listeners.

Visitors to The Harvey Centre can enjoy live entertainment, meet-and-greets with station teams, and a chance to explore the new radio services joining the Xtra DAB multiplex. The event also offers an opportunity to learn more about digital radio and local broadcasting, celebrating the talent and stories that make the area unique.

“This launch is all about giving our communities more choice, more creativity, and more opportunities to be heard,” said Wayne, Founder of Xtra DAB. “East Herts and West Essex are full of incredible voices and vibrant stories — Xtra DAB is here to amplify them.”

The launch coincides with the arrival of Radio Xtra, known as “The Home of the Hits,” offering a mix of chart-topping music from the 1980s to today, local news, and community-focused programming.

Listeners can tune in via DAB+, smart speakers, or the Xtra Player UK app. Xtra DAB will continue to expand throughout 2026 with additional stations joining the network, providing even more variety and choice for local listeners.
